"I've been told that my clothing has a power all of its own. People have told me it gives them super powers or that they just feel very confident for the first time. This is the same reason I continued chasing this path and I can tell you it is true."
I wanted to personally share our story with you.
In 2019, I made my first kimono for a festival because I wanted something that felt like me.
The moment I put it on, I felt confident, proud, and fully myself in a way I never had before.
I kept sewing through the pandemic, selling pieces at raves and rooftops in Brooklyn, until Kimono Dave became something I was willing to bet everything on.
Everything I make is shaped by festivals, the desert, art, color, and self-expression.
I still design every piece and sew special one-of-one garments myself.
People tell me these clothes make them feel powerful. That feeling is why I keep going.
Use KIMONO10 to step into your first statement whenever the moment feels right.
